Graphic designer who graduated from the Istituto Europeo di Design in 2003.
He specialized in traditional animation under master Jon Mikel Udakiola Ilarramendi at the animation studio Sirimiri Films in San Sebastián, Biscay, Basque Country.

He returned to the visual arts—going back to his roots—in 1998, studying at the Faculty of Visual Arts at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia (his mother’s homeland), and at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano in the same city; there, he won a graphic arts scholarship to Middlesex University in England, which he ultimately exchanged for the graphic design career at the Istituto Europeo di Design.

In 2003, upon completing his studies, he founded the graphic design studio and animation production company Txakoli Studio, which in 2020 fully transitioned into Stygiophilia German Graphic Design Studio. Concurrently, he founded The Dark Goat Gallery, an art gallery where he began experimenting with textile-based art and marketed his first original women’s clothing designs.

In 2022, this space became the Myiasis Art Gallery, specializing exclusively in the sale of his artworks, collages, and paintings. That same year, he founded the Kunst Borroka Museum of Modern Art, a venue where he exhibits his most important works and invites emerging international artists to showcase their art free of charge.

Alongside this, he created his women’s haute couture brand, Carnivore Avant Garde, specializing in textile design for garment making and limited-edition women’s clothing. Carnivore Avant Garde gave rise to the eccentric women’s clothing brand Akelarre Du Chocolat Bizarre Mode and the unisex casual wear brand Ardi Kolonisator Top Notch, which specializes in hooded sweatshirts.

In 2024, he founded the Kunst Borroka Movement—an artistic, cultural, educational, and commercial initiative—bringing together Stygiophilia German Graphic Design Studio, the Kunst Borroka Modern Art Museum, Myasis Art Gallery, Carnivore Avant Garde, Akelarre Du Chocolat Bizarre Mode, and Ardi Kolonisator Top Notch, alongside his German training school, where he teaches new designers and artists—free of charge—how to start their own businesses.

He follows the family tradition of his grandfather, Karl Kohn Templer, who co-founded the Colegio Alemán de Barranquilla in Barranquilla, Colombia—a flagship institution for German education in the country—and also established Óptica Alemana Karl Kohn, the first professional optical practice in Cali, Colombia, during the 1950s.

The textile work of master artist Edgar Kohn—comprising his signature fabrics and limited-edition women’s apparel—draws its inspiration from advertising graphic design, fine-art printmaking, and collage. The artist utilizes eco-friendly fabrics made from recycled synthetic fibers alongside state-of-the-art textile printing technologies, including sublimation and DTF transfer. Every fabric and garment is conceived as a work of art and accompanied by a signed certificate of authenticity; this ensures that, after being enjoyed for their functional use, the pieces have the potential to transition into modern art objects—offered via Myasis Art Gallery for public auction to art collectors.
